TecknoSIM Simulator will be used to train truck drivers engaged in mining operations

The Mines Group Vocational Training Centre, Tiruchi, has installed a TecknoSIM tipper simulator to provide training to truck drivers engaged in mining operations and transport raw material from mines to various locations.

Dalmia Cement (Bharat) has sponsored the TecknoSIM tipper simulator. It will enable drivers to get training in the toughest environment without risk to neither the driver nor any person or any machine.

The simulator was handed over to Group Vocational Training Centre by R.A.Krishnakumar, Executive Director, Dalmia Cement.

Ashok Kumar Megharaj, Deputy Director General of Mines Safety, South Zone, who inaugurated the facility at a function held at the institute, said that training would have a huge impact on productivity levels. For any company, their employees were needed to be trained to deliver highest levels of efficiency. The tipper simulator facility would come in handy for those involved in mining operation in the region.

Mr. Krishnakumar said that the simulator would enable the institute to provide realistic training on mining operations and transport raw material from mines to various locations. This virtual training would improve the overall training efficiency of drivers and will help them in reducing road accidents.

BP Singh, Director of Mines Safety, Chennai region, and Shyam Mishra, Deputy Director of Mines Safety, Chennai region, were present.
