Shantanu Gupta on WION Defence Pulse: Can India Rehearse Its Next War Before It Happens? 1920 1200 Tecknotrove

Mr. Shantanu Gupta, Founder of Tecknotrove Systems, was featured on WION’s Defence Pulse (September, 2026), discussing how simulation and digital twin technology could give India’s armed forces a virtual battlefield to train on, long before a real conflict begins.

The conversation looks at the shift from individual training simulators to a connected, synthetic battlefield where Army, Navy and Air Force personnel can train together in the same scenario. Mr. Gupta explains how real soldiers and crews could operate alongside tanks, fighter aircraft, warships, submarines and artillery, all within one virtual environment populated by computer-generated forces, virtual adversaries and evolving threats. At the centre of this vision is Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) training, which links real troops and platforms with virtual and constructive forces to create a training space far larger and more complex than any standalone simulator.

The segment builds on Tecknotrove’s work in defence training simulators, where the goal remains the same: letting personnel experience high-risk situations without exposure to real danger. Scaled up to a digital twin of the battlefield, that approach would allow forces to test tactics, scenarios and responses in a controlled setting. Mr. Gupta has previously explored this direction in Building Simulators to Train Tomorrow’s Warfighters.
