Honda Invests In Motorcycle Simulators From Tecknotrove To Improve safety

Honda Motorcycle and Scooters India considers safety of every individual working with them or riding their vehicle as its priority. In the year 2021, Honda globally made a vision statement for the year 2050 where it will strive for zero traffic collision fatalities involving Honda motorcycles and automobiles. In India HMSI is working in line with this vision and the Government of India direction of reducing fatalities to half by 2030.

To ensure every ride for their employees is safe first ,  Honda assigned Tecknotrove – India’s leading simulator manufacturer and a specialist in designing simulation based road safety training solutions to develop a fully customised  2 wheeler simulator based on Honda Activa 6G one of its most popular selling motorcycle model . Tecknotrove team worked closely with Honda Quality Assurance and Safety team to understand their training needs and incorporate the realism for training and testing riders. Tecknotrove customised the motorcycle simulator hardware including handlebars, switches, instument cluster to match the realistic controls of Honda Activa 6G as seen in the vehicle . The  motorcycle simulator software also replicates realistic vehicle dynamics of the Honda Activa 2 wheeler model with fully functional controls.

This Honda Motorcycle Simulator is installed at the manufacturing facility of HMSI in Ahmedabad ,Gujarat and will be used to train it production workers and employees internally . This initiative is dedicated to enhancing overall safety awareness within their workforce. In addition to driving safely on city and highway roads , the motorcycle simulator will train their employees of defensive driving skills , hazard perception and safe driving in difficult weather conditions.

Honda believes that lack of knowledge, and insensitivity towards other road users, are some of the key reasons leading to accidents on Indian roads. and therefore, Honda believes that a change in mindset and approach are required towards enhancing road safety in the country.
